Growing up in a big Italian family on the East Coast made communicating an art form and eventually led to me becoming a freelance Christian writer, blogger and motivational Christian speaker.
It was at our Sunday, Parente family dinners that I became comfortable experiencing and sharing the details of life in community. This is where I learned to be an open and effective communicator! This passion eventually led to me teaching and leading women’s ministries and serving as the Women’s Bible Study Coordinator at Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana.
Over the past three years, my writing has been published many times on the Northview Church blog. Several articles have been picked up by other organizations and some have even gone viral. I am now excited to grow my relationship with you, my readers, through this blog.
As a community, I hope we experience God together by emotionally connecting to His Word, learning Biblical applications, and being unafraid to share in the joys and struggles we experience in our day-to-day lives. My writing comes out of my journaling and personal devotional time. I look forward to sharing it with you.
A little something of my personal life ...
Our family of four moved to Indiana in 2010. I often joke that I am a "professional volunteer", serving in my kids’ schools and at our church. My husband Joel and I have been married since 2003. Our happy place is out on the lake in our boat.
In the morning, you will find me looking out the window, trying to catch the sunrise — my Bible and journal spread out on the kitchen table, coffee in hand, and music playing in the back ground. This is where and when I do most of my writing.
